Many people have a number of domain names that they wish to use with their hosting account. This guide is designed to help you set up and configure other domain names (addon domains) to work with your main hosting account.
1. Log in to Cpanel (Click here)
2. Scroll down to the "Domains" section.
3. Click on "Addon Domains"
4. At this point, you will see a form with the following:
New Domain Name: (Enter your new domain name here. You don't need the www in front of it)
Subdomain/FTP Username: (Addon domains are created as subdomains on your main account. Don't worry, your visitors won't see this when they enter the URL in their browser. Cpanel will automatically fill in this field with your new domain name. If this works for you, then there's no need to change it)
Document Root: (This field is the root folder for your addon domain, where all the files pertaining to this domain will go. Cpanel automatically fills this in for you with the full domain name, so you might want to delete the domain extension (.com, .net, etc) from this field)
Password: (This is the password for the domain. You'll need this for FTP access)
Password (Again) : (Enter the same exact password you entered in the previous field)
5. Click Add Domain!
That's it! Your new domain will be set up and ready to go. Don't forget to put your files into the root folder you indicated above so that visitors will be able to see your content.
